On August 28, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Youmei Recycling Project was held in Zhongluotan, Baiyun District, Guangzhou. The project, covering an area of approximately 35,000 square meters, will have a total battery recycling capacity of up to 50,000 tons per year.

The first phase of the project involves an investment of 190 million RMB and will establish an annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons. This phase includes three core production modules: battery dismantling and crushing, hydrometallurgical recycling, and solid-phase restoration. The facility is planned as an integrated recycling plant that transforms waste power batteries into high-quality battery raw materials, contributing to Guangzhou's circular economy and advancing the national dual-carbon strategy.

Youmei Recycling, founded on April 10, 2024, is the first waste power battery recycling and material regeneration base in Guangzhou. It was established under the strategic framework of "Jointly Building a New Energy Full Lifecycle Value Chain" by GAC Group and GEM Co., Ltd. The company is a technology-driven joint venture between Youpow Energy and Wuhan Power Regeneration.

Leveraging its shareholders’ strengths, Youmei Recycling has already established deep strategic partnerships with GEM, Inpow, GAC Aion, and other enterprises, positioning itself as a leader in the recycling and regeneration of battery materials.
